Couple of good Nicks there I would have thought for a Keen copper, including the scappy for handing / disposal of stolen goods.
The VRN should be in his books.

Sadly with my deployment being last minute. Things got overlooked.

The local MP is not interested, neither is the police. DVLA have told me there is nothing they can do. Although they have taken note of the vehicle details incase it suddenly reappears if someone tries to re register it.

The local papers are not interested either, so not having much luck.

It's looking like a bit of a lost cause now.

Unfair and unjust it may be but this one is probably over. All the legal avenues seem to have been explored except for the small claims court. If you still get LOA then perhaps consider spending £30 of it on a SCC summons. Nothing like a baliff to concentrate the thought process.
I was told once that the Law and Justice are distant cousins who don't get along.

I see where you're coming from but in this instance (and with no evidence to the contrary) it's a non starter. Civil law has a lower burden of proof hence the advise to go the SCC route.

It wouldn't have happened in my day either.
