Short wander around Diggle/Delph today .....

There is undoubtedly an interest in Green Laning, not surprising really when you consider the vehicles we covet and cherish. This forum is here for discussion of routes, contemporary issues and the social side of things. Anyone not playing nice will have their tyres let down.

Nice pictures... and my neck of the woods too...

Any chance of a description of whereabouts you travelled...i dont know any greenlanes in our area other than lark hill so any advise will be cool.
(i am fairly new to the oldham area)

Nice Land Rover and Sankey combination too...

If you ever fancy some company on your greenlane travels then give me a shout...only over in Lees so not far away!!

cheers

Ahhh lees ....only up the road from me (Just over the road from Tameside college)
Started off from Dobcross ...along Harrop edge Then down the A62,before crossing Castleshaw reservoirs ...and then up Lowgate lane (pennine bridleway) turn left along Broad lane before Delph road and back into Delph .

Only a short run but some VERY nice scenery on a nice day,Be glad to meet up at some point (though be warned i only usually go laning with the OLLR lot so it won't be fast  ) Time is tight at the moment though with work etc

Great pics & great looking truck.

Last time I was home we did the same lanes in my brothers Disco200, it's a nice afternoon out, and like you say great views.

There's no better view anywhere in the world than the English Moors (although I'm biased towards the West Pennines  )

That sounds like an interesting route...i cant say i know all of it at all...i have been around castleshaw reservoirs but thats all and i do know delph village etc...

Would definitely be interested in meeting up and if the OLLR guys dont mind a 90 slowing them down would they let me tag along do you think..

thanks for the info anyway will see what i can find out about its route and maybe we can compare photos some time

cheers
