32FG76 1968 Series IIA 109GS

Ever owned a vehicle you wish you never sold ? Driven it in service and have a photo of it ? Wondered if its still on the road ? Or still on the show circuit somewhere ? Why not post a picture and some details of last seen owned etc, who knows what may turn up or where !

Only owned it for one year but always regret selling it, would love to get it back.

Ex 36 Signals TA with only 18000 on the clock. Sold it in 1989 or 90 I think to a guy in Essex, never seen it since. Civvy reg was Q610FLE

Ooops, getting it wrong in Belgium!

Close. 32FG41 is parked outside mine at the moment. Also served with 36 (Eastern) Signals Regt, TA.

32FG49 was sold on ebay in 2009.

There is another just down the road from me in Lancing that is from this contract. Unfortunately I have not got the military or civvi registration numbers, but I drive past it several times a week. I once looked through the drivers window at the contract plate but could not see the registration number due to moss and condensation on the inside of the glass. That one wears a hardtop and a Military Police sign on the front bumper.

Something that does surprise me is that in 1990 your vehicle and mine looked identical!
Both were in camo.
Both were ragtop.
Both had identical free-wheeling hubs.
Both had a grey bridge plate.
Both carried the ATU box on the drivers side wing only.
Both carried the side arms, but with only the drivers side having the HF base.
Both only had the seats fitted at the front of the rear body.
Both had the ammo box on the front bumper with the number plate screwed to it.

However as far as I can tell mine did not have the search light. :(

It was my first fully milspec Land Rover but it was early days, before I realised fwh were a waste of time and white wheel nuts were OTT! It was unbelievably straight apart from a minor dinge from that tree.

Interesting to know other close numbers were around, mine came from a dealer in North London and I bought it of a mate for £1300 and sold it for £1800.

I paid £250 for mine (£150 actually as the seller married my sister and forgot to ask for the other £100!)

Will never sell it. My wife (who I separated from) proposed to me in it. Even now it still gets filled with rubbish for the tip runs. Far too useful.

Yes that was it, he must have got rid of the Q reg. It was embarrassing when he picked it up as I'd been in the pub all day at a Christmas do and was drunk as a skunk! Friend of mine had to count the cash as I was so far gone.
