Social Weekend

There is undoubtedly an interest in Green Laning, not surprising really when you consider the vehicles we covet and cherish. This forum is here for discussion of routes, contemporary issues and the social side of things. Anyone not playing nice will have their tyres let down.

Social Weekend

Postby Mike O'Connor » Sun Apr 06, 2014 10:38 am

In the next mag and under the Events section of the forum you should shortly see a notice of a non show social weekend in Wales.
This would be for 9-11/5/14. This is the chance to go on an EMLRA Event where you don't have to have a green military coloured Land Rover. All you need to be is a member of EMLRA your vehicle doesn't even have to be gleaming and tidy. The idea is a sociable camp, with a barbecue, walking, sunbathing, a spot of greenlaning on which subject any of you with up to date info on greenlanes N Wales end sort of Bala/Dolgellau area give me a call on 07801494140. I'm guessingthe Wayfarer may be open again by then but any info helpful. Cost will be subject to camp-site, aim at the moment is Shell Island, look it up on the web.

Hi Mike
A little too far west for me. However if you still require info on the area :?:
I'll contact the E Troop Western Divisional Commander.

Hi Martin worth asking E Troop just for an update on any alarms and excursions. Don't think the Russians have taken an interest as yet. I see it wasn't in the events section not sure why not but it was in the mag. Probably a bit late notice though.

Hi all just to let you know this coming weekend 9-11th May Social trip to Wales is cancelled due to insufficient response.Oddly I have had members comment that a socal family event like this is a good idea but I think perhaps it was short notice and wasn't listed in the normal events list just as a seperate bit in the mag. Not to worry we will try again but give rather more notice next time.
